Today’s Scripture: “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” – Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV)

Introduction: The Treasure Hunt of Faith

Many believe that deep spiritual insight, divine revelation, and God’s hidden treasures are reserved for pastors, theologians, or “spiritually elite” individuals. But what if God is inviting you—yes, you—to uncover great and mighty things that you never imagined? The beauty of God’s wisdom is that it’s not hidden from us; it’s hidden for us. It’s an invitation, not a barrier. And the best part? You don’t need any special qualifications—just a willing heart to seek Him.

God has mysteries, wisdom, and treasures ready to be revealed to those who answer His call. But how do we access them? Is there a secret formula? The answer is found in Jeremiah 33:3: Call to Me. That’s it. No theological degrees required. No special training. Just a heart that seeks Him. Let’s discover how you can unlock the hidden treasures God has prepared for you.

Step 1: Call Upon God – The Invitation to Discover

God isn’t playing hide-and-seek with His wisdom. He’s waiting for us to ask. Jeremiah 33:3 isn’t just an encouragement—it’s a divine guarantee. If you call, He will answer. If you seek, you will find.

Why We Hesitate to Call on God:

  • We Think We’re Unworthy: Maybe you feel like you’re not “spiritual enough” to hear from God. But remember, Jesus called fishermen, tax collectors, and ordinary people to follow Him (Matthew 4:18-22).
  • We Rely on Ourselves: Instead of seeking divine wisdom, we often lean on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
  • We’re Too Busy: Life’s distractions keep us from seeking God’s treasures. But the richest blessings come when we pause and listen.

Reflection Question: What’s stopping you from calling on God today?

Step 2: Position Yourself to Hear – The Power of Stillness

Hearing from God requires more than just speaking; it requires listening. Calling on God is the first step, but are you creating space to hear His response?

Practical Ways to Position Yourself:

  • Spend Time in Prayer: Not just rushed prayers, but intentional, heart-to-heart conversations with God.
  • Engage with Scripture: The Bible is God’s primary way of revealing mysteries. What might He be saying to you today?
  • Practice Silence and Solitude: Psalm 46:10 reminds us to be still and know that He is God. Sometimes, God’s greatest revelations come in moments of quiet.

Reflection Question: Are you giving God room to speak, or is your life too noisy to hear Him?

Step 3: Obedience Unlocks More Revelation

Once God reveals something to you, what do you do with it? The more we obey what He has already shown us, the more He entrusts us with deeper things.

Biblical Example: Abraham’s Journey of Faith

God told Abraham, “Go to a land that I will show you” (Genesis 12:1). Notice that God didn’t reveal everything at once. Abraham had to obey the first instruction before receiving the next.

Obedience Leads to Greater Revelation:

  • When Peter obeyed Jesus’ instruction to cast his net on the other side, he received an overwhelming catch (Luke 5:4-6).
  • The widow at Zarephath obeyed Elijah’s command to make a meal first, and her oil never ran dry (1 Kings 17:13-16).

Key Lesson: If you want to access God’s hidden treasures, be faithful with what He has already shown you.

Reflection Question: What is one step of obedience God is calling you to take today?

Step 4: Expect Great and Mighty Things

God’s promise in Jeremiah 33:3 isn’t just about everyday wisdom—it’s about great and mighty things. His thoughts are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and when we seek Him, He reveals things beyond our comprehension.

What Are These “Great and Mighty Things”?

  • Divine Strategies: God gives supernatural insight into solving problems, just as He gave Joseph the interpretation of Pharaoh’s dream (Genesis 41:15-16).
  • Purpose and Direction: When Paul encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus, he received divine clarity about his calling (Acts 9:3-6).
  • Peace and Confidence: When Daniel prayed, God gave him wisdom that spared lives (Daniel 2:17-19).

God’s treasures aren’t just for biblical figures—they’re for you, too.

Reflection Question: Are you expecting great things from God, or are you settling for ordinary?

Conclusion: Step into God’s Invitation Today

Unlocking God’s hidden treasures doesn’t require a seminary degree, a perfect past, or extraordinary talent. It only requires a heart that seeks Him. When you call upon Him, He will answer. When you position yourself to listen, He will reveal. When you obey, He will entrust you with more. And when you expect great things, He will show you His mighty works.

So, what are you waiting for? The invitation is open. The only question left is—Will you call on Him today?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the invitation to call upon You. Help me to seek You with all my heart, to listen when You speak, and to obey Your leading. Reveal to me the great and mighty things You have prepared. Increase my faith and expectation, so that I may walk in the fullness of Your wisdom and purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
